Newport Beach Short-Term Rental Alliance Formed
April 2025
The Newport Beach Short-Term Rental Alliance (NBSTRA) was formed in early April 2025 to be the one unifying voice for the owners and managers of short-term rental properties in Newport Beach.
The NBSTRA will:
Advocate for our industry's public policy goals
Educate the public about the value we bring to the community
Create opportunities for our members to build relationships
Promote the highest standards for our industry.
Short-term rentals provide almost $9 million per year in direct tax revenue to the City of Newport Beach for vital community services. The vast majority of short-term rental stays are for families who want to experience all that Newport Beach has to offer and work with their hosts to be good visitors and guests with no impact on neighbors. Guests at STRs tend to stay longer and spend more money at local shops and restaurants.
Our members value our partnership with the City of Newport Beach and our neighbors, and adhere to the highest standards as hosts in this community.
